Winter begins

The last weeks continue to be full...
Outside projects are largely done for the winter. We've had some amazing winter weather and enjoyed lots of time outside.  Mum visited from England.  We had Thanksgiving.  I became a US citizen.  And, we've enjoyed time to continue making home here.  Here are a few highlights...

Halloween!  I think this halloween was my favorite ever!  There were rides on the fire-truck, then great activities for kids all around town.  It was snowing hard, and it seemed everyone was out.  Super festive.

Ice Skating at Sheridan Glacier.  A truly magical day.
Warm sun, and incredible ice.  You can skate for miles and miles.  Lots to explore. 

Mum came to visit for 2 weeks.  A full time.  THANK YOU soo much for coming mum!
We celebrated Thanksgiving together,  mum looked after Peter when I traveled to Anchorage for the day to become an American citizen, lots of arts and crafts, outside adventures, and help with house-projects. 

We enjoyed Calvin's last visit before he flew to Florida for the winter.

The last month has felt like a holiday.
Clear clear days.  Sun, full moon,  northern lights,  great skiing.  
Perfect winter weather.

Skiing on the lake has been wonderful.
It feels great for my body, and we've been skiing as much as possible. 

Peter still naps in the pulk, though if timing is slightly off.. he now also wants to ski

High tides and cold temperatures have made the perfect learner ice-rink in the meadow.  

Mum and Peter helped sort out baby clothes. 

We had a quiet thanksgiving.
Church, a trip to find seaotters, then Dustin and I got a solo ski in while Peter napped with Granny.
Supper and games in the evening.

The nights have been soo bright.

Nulla stayed with us over Thanksgiving.  Nulla and Maggie are best friends. 

28 weeks!  

We've had fun with the Nutcracker performance.
You can just about see Peter in the above photo.. in front of the tree.  He was a fish. Peter continues to love dance and music ...and action.  He got a lot out of the lessons and rehearsals, but decided the stage was too much for the performance. 

Shower-room is finished... and now feels a happy place where you want to get clean!

It has a red floor, yellow walls, and mum and I worked on the button fish- mirror. 

And, Peter's "room" is also done.
Peter still has the closet off our bedroom instead of a separate room, but we took the carpet out of the bedroom and decorated his space.  The house is really starting to feel like home.
