We Love Winter

We've been living in a winter wonderland

So thankful for Mt Eyak ski area.

The boys have spent hours up there these last weeks, skiing and snow-boarding on the bunny hill.  Leif is self-sufficient on the rope-tow now, and Peter has had a few days up the mountain on the chair-lift.  It's an incredibly festive scene, and very easy parenting. Lots of happy people, and everyone willing to help and encourage.  Thank you to the ski team for all your work, and enabling so many people be able to enjoy the snow.

Dustin and Peter at top-station

We had some icy days before Christmas. Dustin cleared off a pond in the lagoon and the boys spent a couple of afternoons skating in circles with their chairs.

Practice paid off, and we were all able to enjoy the incredible ice these last couple of week.

The boys and I hiked up to Top Station one afternoon.  Leif and I ran and sledded back down to the car, and Peter skied down.  Incredible afternoon of sun and snow, and the boys are great people to spend time outside with (most of the time..).

Skating up the Ibeck drainage.
Incredible conditions, happy team, low winter light, and a magical insight into the frozen delta

Our landing home after fish-camp was full, and we all had travel plans.  A little too much travel, but each was rich and important.  Peter ...
