I'm writing this in May, and it's been a wet month. Lovely to look back at these pictures and remember how sunny March and April were.
I had a few solo fat bike explores, and am enjoying this way of travel and access to places that are a little far to get on foot in a couple of hours.
We had sick kids for Dustin's birthday, but we tag-teamed some skiing, and had a peaceful evening together.
Four new chicks
A rare day when the whole family went cross-country skiing.
Kelly Kettle and some hot food and drinks at the turn-around spot
Dustin and I ended up hauling both kids on the way home. Yes, I can still pull Peter in a pulk, and yes, I'm that desperate to get cross-country skiing with the family.
First tracks up the ski-hill. We beat the lift, and made it to Top Station. The boys skied down and I ran after them.
Peter on snow-board
Busy day on the bunny hill. Mt. Eyak ski club, run totally by volunteered, and manned by an impressive group of skiiers.
Leif turned Five! Poor Leif, his birthday coincided with the only week of rain this spring. Our plans for skiing and sledding switched to the covered playground, but we still had fun.
Wet walk at Hartney Bay
Bottling rhubarb wine
Tidepooling with friends
Sunny and windy kelly kettle picnic at the sand-pile
An incredibly windy hike up the Scott Drainage with Darcy.
Powerful energy, big spaces, and friendship.
Last skate of the season. An action packed day.

Last skate of the season. An action packed day.
We started the day playing hockey, then did a great round trip hike up the Scott River, and ended up playing at the Sand-pile. Balaclavas to almost naked in one day! Spring really is here!
Another hike up to Top-Station and ski down. Our last ski of the season.
Painting eggs with friends for the St. George Easter Egg hunt
More sand-pile fun with friends
A trip to cave beach with Darcy, David, and Morgan
Vera's Easter Eggs are still intact
Excitement over the Easter Egg box that comes from a dear Easter bunny who lives in Anchorage
Sunny Easter Sunday bike ride and picnic
Our first boat of the year. Back to Humpback Creek, one of our favorite places. Great beach-combing, seaweed, and time with Laura, Aaron and Hasan.
