2020 Isle of Wight Chapter One

A few days after Christmas, the boys and I headed to England.  Cheap tickets and a long flight, but we made it.  Liz met us in London and escorted us down to the Isle of Wight.  Great to finally get on the ferry and know we're almost there!

Our island routine is fairly familiar now-- family time, some home school, and lots of adventures on foot and bike.

Revisiting the fossil dinosaur footprints

A wonderful long day hike with Liz.  Such easy rambling, with lots of different habitats to explore.
Lots of board games in the evenings

Visiting the glass factory

A trip to the zoo with granny, and fish and chips on the beach afterwards

Good wind, surf, and kite-flying with Liz
Alice came for a couple of days.  We had a wonderful walk, and lots of laughter.  So great to catch up, thanks for making the trip over, Alice xo

A game of rounders on the beach

So great to have granny and grandpa's help with reading.  Both boys read alot.

The bike path to Yarmouth, and our commute to Granny and Grandpa's home.
