Mum visits Alaska

It has been such a treat to share daily life and home with mum--- just wish we lived nearer. Mum helped make a wedding scrap book with all our cards and letters

And, we finished making curtains together, and mum did lots of mending!

Snow sculptures at the Fur Rondy... then skating at Westchester and supper with JP, Elizabeth, Anne and boys

We got up early sunday morning to watch the fast tour racers on Chester Creek

scrabble.... Liz, even I played (and lost)

We took mum on an adventure down to Kincaid wedding beach.... 6 month wedding anniversary. We walked mum through the wedding.. such a different scene in the winter...

Very different from August... great light, mountains and ice

We had an adventure getting down the slope! Mum was a trooper!!

Fondu and Melanie watching the Iditarod races on Chester Creek

Then we took the boat over to Seldovia... very rough ride over, but a sunny couple of days of walking and exploring. Wonderful peace together

Mum beach drawing with Frida and Martin

Mum slowed down and slept!

We had a very snowy drive down to Homer. Mum jet lagged and all tired on arrival. Stayed at the Lands End.... very luxurious, hot tub under the stars and lovely breakfast beach walking.
All felt revived

Mum and I went for a walk up at Glen Alps with Angela, Ben and Kyle. She saw able to see the nearly-finished wedding quilt at Angela's house. (I was not allowed to see it yet!)

Mum came to visit us in March for 2 weeks; Dad held the fort down at home
