fresh air... and The Quilt

Spent a happy couple of hours doing the binding together, hearing stories about the quilt making and eating icecream cake...

Here is a close up of one of the panels... the Benson clan!

And, the front!
Our engagement picture is surrounded by close family images, and at the corners of the quilt are images from the wedding. There are 80-90 photos on the quilt; friends from North Dakota, Guatemala, Iceland, Greenland, Alaska and Britain

The backing is a fun mosaic of images and memories.... Dustin's childhood hockey jersey, my womble pillow case that carried my wedding dress back from Britain, Dustin's baby blanket, my wedding shawl, wedding table cloth, salmon, berries, lupines.. and Horned Puffins!

Angela and Gail presented us with the quilt! We are soo humbled by all the hours and love spent on the quilt! It is truly incredible! It is now at home on our bed... please come and see it!
It's hard to descibe how amazing it is to see friends and family from all around the world together in the same patchwork... we have stories to tell each night.
THANK YOU!

We had a lovely hike with Lee and Margaret up McHugh; great to stretch legs and get up above sheep and eagles

I've been working on Bogoslof logistics... lots of warehouse and shopping

Season has switched to hiking and fishing
