It's mid November, and we leave in a weeks time for a long trip.
North Dakota and England.
We're busy closing up work, doing last winter maintenance projects,
and closing life up here for 6 weeks.
Kind of a mish-mash, but here's a few memories from the last couple of months.
Carolyn and baby Haven were in town for a few weeks. Soo wonderful to meet Haven!
Carolyn and I decided to team up and look after the kids and process/smoke about 15 salmon together.
Silly us!
We've had some great stormy rain action.
Here's Michelle and Peter checking out the flooded trail!
Vera, Calvin and Brian have left for Florida for the winter.
We miss them.
We miss them.
We had a lovely family hike up to the secret meadow on their last day.
The greenhouse was transformed into the perfect play house after harvesting. Even in the pouring rain, Peter has been happy for a couple of hours playing with trucks, soil and water (= mud).
We had some magical Fall days with low sunshine. Perfect days to do work on the garden and house before winter came.
We've snuck in quite a few kayaks with all the warm Fall weather.
Peter and I had a great expedition, paddling over to the Polar Bear (boat below) to look for Pirates..
Last of the harvest
It's really a fiddle
I've been trying to get one good long solo walk with Maggie in each week. Bliss.
Aaron, Laura, and baby Hassan came over for a long weekend. Crumby weather, but we got out for a few great trips, and it felt like a holiday together.
Peter helping Dustin pluck ducks
And, halloween again.. The highlight is still the fire truck ride. Not sure what age the lure of candy will take the lead..
Yay.. our first frost!
