After all our rain (over 100 inches since middle of July!), we had a few weeks of cold sunny weather in November.
Everyone in town was happy, and we couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
Weather amnesia is a fairly important survival tool in Cordova.
We got up early, ate breakfast burritos en route, and made it to Sheridan Glacier by 9:30. We were the only ones there, and the ice was incredible.
Too many photos, but it was such a special day, and just so beautiful
We started off on Aaron's kick-sled to cover some ground
The boys and I then put our skates on.
Dustin had skated a fair bit with the boys last year, in a very small pond in the lagoon. Leif was still using a chair for support.
This year-- both boys were independent and skating. Some crashes, barely in control, but they were so proud!
