Christmas holidays

We had a quiet Christmas this year with lots of family time.  It felt good to slow down schedules and be together.

We hiked up the ski hill for Christmas Day picnic.  This was our third Christmas Day at Top Station, so it's becoming a tradition. There was a freshly groomed track, and other friends on the hill, so it turned into a festive outing and a great ski down.

After Christmas, we had four days of incredible sunny cold weather, and we went hard!
We had some long outings on the Delta exploring the ice sloughs.  I love this insight into the Delta during winter, and a view into a world that is hard to see.

We had a couple of great days with impromptu overlap and adventures with friends on the same mission.

Another day at Alaganik-- such sparkly frost, and great slough hopping.  We carried hockey sticks, and the boys played at the various ponds on our route.
