Snow on the mountains, some rainy days, and time to slowly catch up on photos
Peter and I packed up to head to St. George Island for Seabird Camp in July. We had a couple of days in Anchorage en route, and caught up with a few friends. Here's Muse and Peter at the airport.
We flew to St. Paul... circled St. George three times... then returned to Anchorage!
Too much fog. After a few days waiting for another plane, we returned home to Cordova. It was a very tiring trip after all the weeks of planning and preparation, but on the plus side we got to catch up with good friends in Anchorage. And, it was lovely to be home again.
8 hours into the 11 hr round trip!
Back home, we slowly caught up on life and sleep.. and eased back to home-routine. Carolyn and Haven were in Cordova for a few weeks, and it was wonderful to share time together. Haven is only a couple of weeks younger than Leif.
Enjoying a family trip out at the Copper River. Time for hurdles and running races.
Dustin and I had a hiking (and swimming) date up the Reservoir trail
Some sunny peaceful days at home to recharge, garden, and play in the sand box
And, a week after we returned home.. Peter turned Five! How did that happen!
We celebrated the day with a group kid hike up the Reservoir trail to a swimming hole. Lots of fun, climbing, swimming and jumping. A great birthday adventure for Peter.
And, home for a peaceful family evening.
Hotdogs on the beach, and a monster truck cake!
Haven and Leif up in the Secret Meadow
Adventures with a giant swan!
We've bought a new attachment for Peter's bike, and it's working well for family mobility. We had a great ride from 27 miles to the End Of The Road for a picnic. Only two cars for the whole day, it was a good day adventure.
Fine silty sand!
