Auntie Liz traveled with us to London, stayed with us at the hotel.. and saw us off on our flight before she flew to South Sudan. Thank you Liz, for everything.
The boys and I then flew to North Dakota. We chose some cheap routes.. and it ended up becoming an over 36hr epic with an overnight in LA. But, we did it, and were happy to land and not travel anywhere for a few more weeks. We'll be flying more direct next time!
North Dakota was flip-flopping between some sunny warm spring days where geese were flying and left-over snow melting, to some days of grey wintery cold wind. Dustin flew down to meet us, and we had three weeks together. It was great to reconnect, and we were able to spend some time figuring out our next chapter and decided to finally buy a set-netting permit in Bristol Bay.
We stayed a few days with Grandpa in Reynolds, enjoying the quiet space, trains, the playground, and sunny walks.
We had a memorable visit to a friend's farm during calving season.

We had a lovely birthday celebration with Grandpa John; birthday cake, and a sunny outing to the playground together.
Grandma and Grandpa Bob graciously moved out of their bedroom for us, and shared their home in Grand Forks for a couple of weeks. Dealing with our chaos on a daily level is not small feat! Thank you both!

Grandma made the boys their own fleece pillows, and was a super-hero in working with Leif on potty training. He made huge progress.
And, Leif had a second birthday celebration with Grandma and Grandpa Bob. Joanne, Keith and Jacob drove up to share the day and help make it a special one. Thank you!
We had blueberry pie (Leif's choice) and a trip to the swimming pool.
We spent a lot of time at this pool.. complete with slide, fountains and shallow water.
