Back home to Alaska, and time to enjoy the wonderful snow.
Great skiing on the Ski Hill. The chair lift had many days open, and we also continued to hike up and ski down. We usually carried skis when the boys hike up, but Peter borrowed a friend's back-country set-up one day, and skinned up for the first time. He loved it.
We celebrated Dustin's birthday in February with cake and snow
Peter got the flu a few weeks after our return. He was knocked out for several days. We got him out on the kicksled when he started to feel better, and tried pulling the kick-sled with my fat-bike. It was a fun combination.
Cordova ski-club.
These kids frequently hike the ski hill to ski down, and we teamed up on a couple of outings.
It's going to be fun to watch these kids grow up and see where their ski adventures take them.
After many years of protest over cross-country skiing-- both boys decided it was fun this year! Finally. Here's Leif in the front yard-- skiing up and down the trail.
A Bowman-Solberg expedition on the Delta--- a great selection of winter-travel modes. We had a kicksled, fat-bike, skis, skates, and someone on-foot. And, somehow we all managed to travel together.
The kicksled is the only mode of travel that comes with a picnic seat!
Another day. Skiing with Hasan and Aaron across Lake Eyak. Lots of soft snow, evidence of a coyote hunt, and fun play on an island.
Warm snow, no hats
Leif turned 7 in March.
His birthday was on our last day of school, and the day before Spring Break and the start of our extended social distancing. Glad we could squeak his birthday in with friends before are new reality began.
A ski-hill cake, and outdoor play date with a couple of friends.
We love you Leif!
